+ Benefits of Clean Energy Generation
Our recent experience covers
clean energy projects including onshore and offshore
wind, biomass / renewable heat, and a number of
socio-economic assessments of infrastructure and other
mixed-use development projects in Scotland and elsewhere
in the UK, and also projects internationally.
A current key focus of our work
is the assessment of socio-economic and tourism +
recreation impacts of energy generation projects in
rural economies across Scotland and England, as input to
both planning and Section 36 applications, and of
offshore wind farms.
Our recent clean energy related
projects include the assessments of the socio-economic
impacts of a joint project for Wings Law wind farm and
Kilbirnie hydrogen balancing plant, the Ladymoor
Renewable Energy project in North Ayrshire; of the
Glenkirk wind farm in the Scottish Highlands; and of a
Crown Estates Round 2 offshore wind farm off the east
coast of England.
The Economic Rationale +
Benefits of Development
Our recent development related
projects include the benefits assessments of the
proposed Whitecross village mixed-use development and
also of the Canal Side facilities development, in
support of both of the planning applications to Falkirk
Council for the schemes, each recently granted consent.
Internationally we are currently
advising on the economic rationale, potential
development mix, and opportunities for foreign direct
investment in a major proposed Special Economic Zone in
the Gulf area of the Middle East.
